Read about author Ann Cameron’s amazing journey of curing her Stage 4 colon cancer by drinking carrot juice for a year.
Miracle stories for cancer pop up from around the globe every day and thanks to the internet, we have access to these amazing people’s journeys. A story doing the rounds nowadays is that of Ann Cameron’s who cured her stage 4 colon cancer by drinking the juice of 5 pounds of carrots every day for less than a year. Cameron is a popular children’s books author but she is the main character of this story.
Cameron had her first surgery for stage 3 colon cancer on 6th June, 2012 and after the surgery, she declined the recommended chemotherapy. After seeing her dear husband battle lung cancer and chemotherapy’s effect on him, her heart didn’t agree with taking on the same kind of treatment for herself.
She felt better from then on but her next CT scan six months later on 6th November 2012 diagnosed that the cancer had developed into stage 4 and had even metastasized into her lungs. Further research by the oncologist concluded that the cancer in the lungs was an individual development because colon cancer develops very slowly and the two lung tumors were growing very rapidly. Cameron was put in a dilemma as she was told that radiation would do her no good and chemotherapy would give her maybe two to three years to live. Without chemotherapy, her chances of living more than two years was unlikely.
A distraught Cameron researched every trick the internet offered to try to find a viable option that can treat her condition. She already had a list of recommended substances that didn’t work from research she did while her husband battled lung cancer before succumbing to the condition in 2005. She continued her search for anything that can help her condition.
Then, she stumbled upon a letter by Ralph Cole who said he cured his metastasized neck cancer tumors by drinking the juice from 3 pounds of carrots every day. Cole’s letter didn’t sell anything and only detailed his personal experience on the recommendation of his wife’s friend who beat her ovarian cancer the same way. The letter was from the heart and he sincerely believed the carrot juice helped cure him and keep the cancer away through his life.
Cameron decided to give the method a try and began juicing 5 pounds of carrots every day on 17th November 2012. A PET scan done during the period confirmed the presence of swollen lymph nodules and twin tumors in the enlarged lymph nodes between the lungs which the radiologist said were rapidly growing. Oncologists suggest several dietary recommendations while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation but carrot juice wasn’t in the list of don’ts. Cameron held on to her decision of not undergoing chemotherapy because she dreaded the side effects of it. She continued to live life normally without any other dietary change apart from inclusion of carrot juice. She ate normally and included meat and dessert in her life although she wouldn’t recommend eating too much dessert.
