This ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Family Ties’ actor turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991. Checking into therapy and the support of his family helped Fox overcome this addiction, and helped him improve both his career and marriage. Sober since then, he now helps fund advanced research for Parkinson’s through The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
